Mamaroneck

With the floods in 2007 that devastated the area, Habitat secured an office within walking distance and began helping residents clean up and rebuild.
With more than 1000 volunteers and many months of work. Countless donations from friends and strangers alike, made it possible to not only help those residents rebuild, but also built a new flood proof home for the Covingtons.

Oct 03,09 Larchmont/Mamaroneck Welcome

This historic LPC highlights Larchmont/Mamoroneck's success in helping Habitat for more than 20 plus years. The first Habitat home was in Larchmont Mamoroneck in 1998. The family's children are now graduating college!

We worked with two Americorp teams and thousands in aiding flood victims of April 15th, 2007. Along with that we are currently aiding Liz Covington. Having knocked down her condemned house, we are currently rebuilding a new one at 804 Howard Ave in Mamaroneck. We now have helped more than 130 flooded homes, gutted and rehabbed by habitat.

Bernie Williams is joining us at Molly Spillane's this Sunday from 2-5pm in a benefit to raise support for this important work. He will be playing classical guitar. In addition there will also be a silent auction. Thanks to Patti Mannino for all her work and the John Tesh show for giving her a ticket and the success of what we have been doing.
